My Favorite Denim Styles from Levi's

I have tried out all the trendy denim brands over the years (I'm looking at you True Religion for all those adolescent years spent wearing low-waisted flares), and when it comes to fit, timelessness and price point... I always come back to Levi's. My loyalty to the all-American brand began with a budding thrift store shopping habit during my late teens. One weekend I found the perfect fitting, perfectly distressed Levi's 501 cut off shorts. I was obsessed. I wore them with vintage band shirts tucked in and vintage Ferragamo Vara pumps just like Alexa Chung.

Now in my late 20s, I still find myself in a pair of Levi's jeans just about everyday, but now I usually wear them with a cashmere sweater tucked in and sneakers. I'm rounding up my 3 go-to styles of Levi's below, all of which have that structured, high waisted fit I cannot get enough of.

This style was a recent discovery from my "work wife" Jillian at Sweet & Spark. I love the snug fit around the waist and their straight, cropped leg. I actually thought they were vintage, but to my surprise she told me I could pick up a pair for myself too! We are twins when it comes to everything else, so we might as well have the same jeans. I ended up sizing up for a more relaxed fit and had them taken in at the waist.

I fell in love with these jeans this Summer while trying on pairs at the store. This high waisted style literally fits like a glove and makes your behind look like a peach emoji. They're not kidding when they say "wedgie" fit. I also love the straight, cropped leg with a raw edge. This style is so good I own both a light and medium wash.

The style where it all began for me. As I mentioned above, a vintage pair of 501 shorts were my very first Levi's purchase. After that, I would spend hours online at eBay and Etsy looking for another pair, just one more pair! I finally found a great distressed medium wash on Etsy during college and they fit beautifully. Still today, I take both pairs of light and medium wash shorts with me to every beach vacation.

Spring Beauty Routine Refresh

While I am in the middle of Spring cleaning, I thought I would share my new beauty products of the moment since I usually get the urge to update a few things this time of year. I always try to incorporate new scents into my collection and most recently my go-to for date nights has been the new Chanel No. 5 L'eau perfume, a lighter version of the classic No. 5 which is known for its strong aroma. My favorite everyday scent is usually something from Chloé. I finally bought into the Glossier craze last month and I have to say I am now a huge fan. I have followed Into the Gloss since the beginning, but I never felt the urge to try any products until just recently. See, I have begun the process of growing out my bangs and for the first time in a long time you can see my brows. I desperately needed a new brow product and I after hearing only good things about Boy Brow I decided to give it a go along with the haloscope highlighter and the cloud paint blush. Call me obsessed, I already have my eye on a few other products.

Now onto the beauty accessories. I have been carrying the Cuyana makeup bags for a few years now, I absolutly love the blush colorway. I keep my makeup and brushes in the larger pouch, any jewelry I want to bring along when I travel goes into the smaller pouch. As a special twenty-first birthday gift years ago I received a full set of Chanel makeup brushes. I cherish them dearly, but I do not like to travel with them since they can get pretty scuffed up. The uber chic travel brushes I have been using recently from a new brand are equally great in quality plus they are a pretty gold color.

Sweater Weather Essentials

Lately, I have been streamlining my wardrobe and gravitating towards quality basics that I can wear everyday. The number one piece that I have been buying up most recently is the cashmere sweater. San Francisco is a chilly city so lightweight sweaters are a plus in the Spring time. Uniqlo offers a beautiful selection of colors (great price point too!) in their cashmere crew neck and turtleneck sweaters, it has become my new uniform! I love wearing them with a sweet slip skirt or tucked into a pair of high waisted Levi's, finishing touches include accessorizing with a vintage silk scarf and jewelry.

Around the Apartment

Here's a little peek inside our San Francisco apartment as well as my home office. I spend most of my time at my desk working on the computer, lots of answering emails and photoshopping! But my favorite little corner is where I keep all my jewelry displayed and organized on my dressing table. I get to admire it every day from the moment I wake up and see it from my bed, until the moment I grab a spritz of perfume right before I leave the apartment for work.
