A New Summer Hat

With summer coming to an end almost everywhere else, it's only just beginning in San Francisco. Our official summer season usually peaks during October, which means I will be wearing strappy sun dresses and straw hats for a couple more months! My go-to brand for hats has been the Aussie company: Lack of Color. I came across them years ago when I started following Jasmine Dowling, an Australian graphic designer, if you do not know her yet, (huge fan here!) you should. Side note: something on my SF summer bucket list that I finally want to make happen this season is a beach bon-fire with friends, cozy sweaters and s'mores. Fingers crossed!

Sausalito

We took a trip over the bridge to Sausalito for our Sweet & Spark summer photoshoot. I fall in love with this city more and more each day, especially since the weather has been so dreamy recently. With summer on my mind, I can't help but also look forward to fall and sweater weather! Jillian and I have already begun booking fall apparel, and we have some sweet knits and blouses picked out so far.  I am on the hunt for the perfect slip skirt to pair with loose sweaters, booties and a trench coat. But until then, let these photos give you all the California dreaming inspiration for those long summer days.

Blush Pom Poms

Jillian and I absolutely adore our blush pom pom slippers that Birdies gifted us for our Summer photoshoot. They are so simple to slide on as I run out the door, not to mention how simply sweet they make my toes look! We will be hosting a Sweet & Spark trunk show at Birdies' San Francisco shop this Saturday June 23rd through Sunday June 24th. If you're in the Bay Area, stop by to say hello and shop our new summer clothing and vintage accessories collection.

A Polka Dot Jumpsuit

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for a jumpsuits, especially one with a feminine aesthetic like ruffles and polka dots, like our new Sanctuary jumpsuit for summertime. The fabrication, like most pieces from this line, is gorgeous in quality and the wide leg pant makes for an effortless fit. I am looking forward to wearing this number around the city with a pair of white sneakers and a denim jacket, or out to wine country with a little block heel sandal. Oh, and of course, I'll always top it off with a pair of vintage statement earrings and a vintage scarf!
