A few floral finds from my trip home to Dallas... After lots of digging at Lula B's and the Forest Lane Antique Mall, I was happy to walk away with these new gems. I am especially excited to add this giant amber colored resin brooch to my collection, such a treasure.
How To Style A Louis Vuitton Noé Bucket Bag
Originally custom designed to carry bottles of champagne, the Louis Vuitton Noé has made its mark as an iconic "it" bag. The Noé is one of my favorite carry-alls... It is the perfect travel companion and like all Louis Vuitton products, it is built to last. To see how I styled the modern Louis Vuitton Black Epi Noé and the classic Louis Vuitton Monogrammed Noé visit my posts.
White Ferragamo Vara Pumps
There are some classic styles that I have fallen in love with, and this only leads to buying them up in every color. Among my vintage Ferragamo shoe collection, the Vara pumps are my absolute favorite. I recently found these never-worn vintage pumps in white! The little grosgrain bow finished off with gold hardware and the one inch heel is so flattering. Salvatore Ferragamo still makes the Vara style today, I have always lusted after the patent pastel styles and more recently the perforated leather styles.
New Favorite Vintage Shop in San Francisco
I spent a week in San Francisco after our Coachella weekend in Palm Springs. I did a lot of walking, eating and exploring and will be sharing a post with all my SF favorite spots later this week! My favorite find was Relic Vintage. You probably know I am an avid vintage junky by now, so you know it is a true find when I say this spot is now at the top of my list! The selection at Relic was so well edited. Every single item was in beautiful condition and very wearable, this place was such a gem! I found this amazing mohair swing coat from the 1960's as well as a faux leopard coat and sequin embellished cocktail dress (I will try to photo them soon!)
Vintage Pucci
Throughout all my years as a vintage collector, I have come across these 1960's Emilio Pucci oversized sunglasses twice, and both times I have regretted not purchasing the printed frames. The first time I became aware of their existence, I was the ripe young age of 15. It was one of many Summers spent in Los Angeles, I was just beginning to nurture my passion for all things vintage. During one of our Mother-Daughter shopping outings, I spotted the sunglasses at Paperbag Princess. I was obsessed, they had to be mine. At the wildly extravagant price of $500, my Mother and I agreed (to disagree) that this was a bit too excessive of a purchase for a teenager. But the obsession had begun, and I would continue to daydream of these hippie shades for years to come... Until spotting them for a second time. This time at an antiques mall in New York City. I was older, more mature and surely deserving of such amazing eyewear. The price tag was still in the $500 range. Without even having a Mother to negotiate with, I had to agree with the past decision: this was still a bit much for a pair of sunglasses. These frames have forever been "the one that got away" until that fateful day I received an Ebay alert: "EMILIO PUCCI PRINTED SUNGLASSES $250 AUCTION ENDING IN 1 HOUR." I immediately logged on, placed my bid and crossed my fingers for no competitors. Obviously I won, because the photographs you see now are in my possession. I know they seem a bit silly and maybe not for everyone, but they are no less special to me.
