San Francisco Travel Guide

My trip to San Francisco was filled with beautiful blooms and candy colored buildings. I loved walking around the different neighborhoods and admiring each apartment. I wanted to share my favorite discoveries to  check out if you ever pass through the Bay Area! The Japanese Tea Gardens were just starting to bloom when I visited, I am sure it is even more breathtaking once all the cherry blossoms are awake. Very peaceful little garden to walk through with a little tea and snack spot. I recommend visiting the Academy of Sciences and De Young Museums (within walking distance) first and then stopping by the gardens for a relaxing break.

The Mill was so yummy I had to visit it twice! My favorite toast was the country bread with butter and cinnamon sugar, it was literally melt-in-your-mouth-amazing. I would also try the whole wheat bird bread with butter and strawberry jam if you visit with a friend, Patrick and I got one of each and shared. Coming from the home of the cronut I was skeptical about Mr Holmes Bakehouse and their cruffins. The first morning I tried to get a cruffin they sold out, and I probably would have called it quits if the chocolate croissant I got instead wasn't the best croissant I have ever had. Imagine the lightest, flakiest pastry and it still would not be as good, I can't even do it justice by trying to describe it here. So I thought, these cruffins must be worth the wait! Let's try this again, and they were worth every minute spent waiting in line. Mission Cheese was my answer to the end of a long day of exploring the city. Getting to look through all the photos I had taken, catch up on emails while enjoying a delicious cheese flight and a glass of wine was perfection.
